Inter Miami easily defeated Kansas City and will play against Cavalier FC in the round of 16
After a close victory in the first match, Inter Miami had no trouble defeating Kansas City (3-1) thanks to the performance of Leo Messi and Luis Suárez, who each scored a goal to settle the tie and advance to the round of 16 of the ConcaChampions.

Great goal from Messi in Inter Miami's victory
Inter Miami didn’t take long to take the lead thanks to a great goal from Leo Messi in the 19th minute. The ’10’ received a pass from his friend Luis Suárez, controlled the ball with his chest, and volleyed it to beat the Kansas City goalkeeper. The season had just begun, and Messi had already been involved in four goals.
Kansas City tried to react and came close to equalizing the game on several occasions. But, just before halftime, Tadeo Allende doubled the lead after a great play between Leo Messi and Jordi Alba, like those seen in Barcelona… and Luis Suárez scored the 3-0 in the last play of the first half. With the job done, Inter Miami relaxed, and Kansas City reduced the gap in the second half.
Inter Miami's next opponent in ConcaChampions
From then on, Inter Miami focused on protecting the result and conserving energy for the second round of MLS action, where they will face a tough opponent like Houston, a team they have not been able to beat in the last three matches and, moreover, defeated them in the final of the 2023 US Open Cup. Messi was substituted in the 69th minute.
Inter Miami's next opponent in ConcaChampions will be Cavalier FC from Jamaica, whom they will need to defeat in order to reach the quarterfinals. The match is scheduled to take place starting on March 6. Inter Miami, for now, continues to move forward with strong steps toward the title.
