How Much Does Lionel Messi's Stunning New Luxury Yacht Cost?
Lionel Messi has commissioned a spectacular luxury catamaran featuring 2,000 horsepower, five cabins and private waterfront terraces. But how much does the Argentine superstar's latest purchase actually cost?
Lionel Messi is making another major investment away from the soccer field. The Argentine superstar has commissioned a Sunreef ULTIMA 88, a luxury catamaran estimated to cost between $9 million and $10.5 million. The exact purchase price remains undisclosed, as the shipbuilder has yet to reveal the financial details of the deal.
The yacht is currently under construction at Sunreef Yachts' shipyard in the United Arab Emirates. It will feature 2,000 horsepower, five spacious cabins and a range of luxury amenities designed for spending time on the water.
But this isn't simply another extravagant purchase for the Inter Miami captain. Once completed, the vessel will join MIM Ocean, his luxury yacht charter business operating primarily in Spain's Balearic Islands.

What Does Lionel Messi's Sunreef ULTIMA 88 Have to Offer?
The Sunreef ULTIMA 88 measures 88 feet (26.8 meters) and is powered by two 1,000-horsepower engines. Its custom interior will include a full-beam master suite and four additional guest cabins, providing plenty of room for family and friends.
Among its standout features is the Ocean Lounge, an outdoor relaxation area with fold-out side terraces, a hydraulic swimming platform and direct access to the sea. The yacht will also feature a dedicated jet ski garage, an expansive upper deck and multiple spaces for outdoor entertaining.

The Business Behind Lionel Messi's Multimillion-Dollar Yacht
Messi's latest acquisition is also part of his growing business portfolio. MIM Ocean was established through a partnership between his MIM Hotels brand and yacht specialist Med Cat Yachts, offering high-end charter experiences.
The company currently operates three Bali 5.4 catamarans, sailing around the Balearic Islands during the European summer before shifting some operations to the Caribbean and the Bahamas in winter. The new Sunreef will expand its fleet with a larger, more powerful vessel, although its delivery date and future charter rates have yet to be announced.

Why Lionel Messi Chose Sunreef Yachts
The Argentina national team legend revealed that his family's love of the ocean played a major role in his decision to partner with Sunreef.
"It's a real pleasure to join the Sunreef family. My family and I have always enjoyed spending time at sea whenever we get the chance," Messi said in a statement released by the shipbuilder.
Messi joins a growing list of high-profile athletes associated with the luxury yacht manufacturer, including Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Robert Lewandowski, Fernando Alonso and Nico Rosberg. For now, the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner will have to wait for construction to be completed before his new vessel is ready to hit the water.
