Inter Miami is once again making headlines in the transfer market. After building a squad around Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Rodrigo De Paul, the MLS club is now targeting another of the game's biggest stars of the past decade: Kevin De Bruyne.

At that time, both the Florida-based club and San Diego FC held talks with the Belgian international, who ultimately decided to remain in European football.

Now, however, the situation appears to have changed.

After a Serie A campaign in which he failed to consistently reach the elite level that made him one of the world's best midfielders, the prospect of moving to MLS has regained momentum.

Even so, Inter Miami is not alone in the race. Both Chicago Fire and San Diego FC continue to monitor the Belgian's situation closely.

How Would He Fit Alongside Messi?

From a tactical perspective, a partnership between Kevin De Bruyne and Lionel Messi would instantly become one of the most gifted creative duos in world football.

While Messi thrives by receiving the ball between the lines and accelerating attacks near the penalty area, De Bruyne is renowned for his exceptional vision, his ability to dictate the tempo of matches, and, above all, his remarkable passing range and chance creation from virtually anywhere on the pitch.

The Belgian could take on much of the playmaking responsibility from midfield, allowing Messi to receive the ball in more advanced and dangerous positions while reducing the physical workload required during matches.
