GKS Katowice Fights Back to Draw Against Zaglebie Lubin at Home
In a thrilling match from start to finish, GKS Katowice pulled off a dramatic comeback to earn a 2–2 draw against Zaglebie Lubin in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, after trailing by two goals. The game, played at the GKS Katowice Stadium, was packed with intensity, tactical shifts, and a strong finish from the home side.
Zaglebie Strikes Early—and Hard
The visitors took the lead in the 15th minute thanks to Marcel Regula, who found the net with a precise left-footed shot after a pass from Adam Radwanski. Just before halftime, Radwanski doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 45th minute, after a handball confirmed by VAR made it 0–2 heading into the break.
Katowice Responds with Heart
The second half saw a completely different GKS Katowice. In the 54th minute, Bartosz Nowak pulled one back with a curling free kick that beat the keeper at the post. Nowak continued to lead the charge and was central to his team’s resurgence.
Their persistence paid off in the 81st minute when Nowak completed his brace after a well-executed team play initiated by Alan Czerwinski, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

Late Drama Seals the Draw
The closing minutes were end-to-end, with both teams pushing for the win. Zaglebie Lubin came closest, but shots from Kosidis and Yakuba were blocked in crucial moments. After five minutes of stoppage time, the referee blew the final whistle.
The result leaves mixed feelings: Zaglebie let a comfortable lead slip away, while Katowice showed great spirit to secure a valuable point in the early stages of the season.
