(VIDEO) Raúl Jiménez Reaches 10 Premier League Goals with Stunning Strike
Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez scored his 10th goal of the Premier League season, opening the scoring in Fulham’s 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Jiménez’s Best Scoring Season Since His Injury
Raúl Jiménez, enjoying his best goal-scoring campaign since suffering a skull fracture in November 2020, controlled a cross from Alex Iwobi inside the box and finished with his left foot at the near post.
With 10 league goals, the Mexican forward has equaled Liam Delap, from Ipswich Town, and is now just two goals behind Ollie Watkins, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Justin Kluivert.
However, Jiménez’s goal wasn’t enough for Fulham to secure any points at Amex Stadium, as Jan Paul van Hecke headed in the equalizer, and in the dying moments, João Pedro converted a penalty after Harrison Reed fouled the Brazilian forward.
The loss is a setback for Fulham’s European aspirations, keeping them in ninth place with 42 points, while Brighton moves up to sixth with 46 points, extending their winning streak to six games across all competitions.
