(VIDEO) This Is How Liverpool Celebrated Their Premier League Title With the Fans
Liverpool was painted red on Monday as hundreds of thousands of fans flooded the city streets to celebrate the club’s 20th English league title. After a dominant 2024/25 campaign under Arne Slot, the Reds capped off their triumph with a massive victory parade — this time, with their fans right at the heart of it.
The players boarded an open-top bus that traveled the 16-kilometer route through central Liverpool, surrounded by flares, banners, chants, and a sea of red. It was a stark contrast to their title win in 2019/20, when pandemic restrictions forced a behind-closed-doors celebration.
This time, the fans got what they deserved: a full-blown street party with music, emotion, and that long-awaited lift of the Premier League trophy in public.
Calvin Harris Joins the Party
Adding to the party atmosphere was Calvin Harris, who performed a live set from the top deck of the bus, having been personally invited by club captain Virgil van Dijk. Fans danced and sang along as players soaked up the electric atmosphere.
Liverpool secured the title with a 5-1 demolition of Tottenham last month at Anfield and closed the campaign with a 1-1 draw against FA Cup winners Crystal Palace this Sunday.
A New Era Begins
This title is more than just a number — it signals the beginning of a new chapter under manager Arne Slot. After taking over from Jürgen Klopp, Slot has quickly proven his credentials by guiding Liverpool back to the summit of English football.
For the fans, the parade wasn’t just about silverware — it was a celebration of unity, identity, and a club that continues to thrive in the face of change.
