Arsenal will be without Gabriel for Champions League clash against Real Madrid
Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhães will miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury suffered in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Fulham on Tuesday.
"We can confirm that Gabriel has sustained a hamstring injury that requires surgery. He will undergo the procedure in the coming days and will immediately begin rehabilitation, aiming to be ready for next season," the club announced in a statement.
More problems for Arteta ahead of Real Madrid showdown
Gabriel's absence adds to a growing injury list that includes key players like Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Ricardo Calafiori, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, making things even more complicated for Mikel Arteta.
With this situation, Jakub Kiwior is expected to partner William Saliba in central defense for the crucial Champions League quarter-final clash against Real Madrid.
