De Bruyne Bids Farewell to Manchester City and These Would Be his Three Possible Destinations
Kevin de Bruyne has issued a statement to announce that these will be his final months as a player for Manchester City before embarking on a new adventure next summer
The events that have unfolded this season pointed to a farewell at the end of the season, and finally, that day has arrived. Kevin de Bruyne, considered by many fans to be the best player in the club’s history, has issued a statement to announce that these will be his final months as a player for Manchester City before embarking on a new adventure next summer.

De Bruyne: The best player in the history of Manchester City?
Signed from Wolfsburg for 76 million euros in the summer of 2015, Kevin de Bruyne has been the player who changed the recent history of Manchester City, establishing himself as the footballer with the most titles (19) and assists (174) to have ever played for the club. However, physical problems have begun to seriously affect him over the last few seasons, and before tarnishing his legacy, he has decided to step aside and not extend his current contract, which tied him to Manchester City until the end of the current season.
Here is the farewell letter issued by Kevin de Bruyne: "These will be my final months as a player for Manchester City (…) None of this is easy to write, but as footballers, we all know this day will come. That day has come, and you deserve to hear it from me first. Football led me to all of you and to this city. Chasing my dream, not knowing this stage would change my life (…). Whether we like it or not, it’s time to say goodbye (…) Every story comes to an end, but this has definitely been the best chapter."
The three possible destinations De Bruyne is considering
This season, his prominence has declined significantly, and he has only been a starter in 19 of the 31 games he has played. For this reason, Pep Guardiola was asked several months ago, admitting that he wished Kevin de Bruyne were 10 years younger and everything could start over. Together, they have won absolutely everything, and without a doubt, his departure will leave a hole almost impossible to fill at Manchester City. Before that, though, they still have the task of securing qualification for the next edition of the Champions League… and lifting one final trophy after reaching the semifinals of the FA Cup.
With his contract running until June 30, there is uncertainty about whether Kevin de Bruyne will participate in the Club World Cup with Manchester City or if he will be released once the season ends. However, now is when speculations will rise about where his next destination will be. For now, there are three possible paths that place De Bruyne at Galatasaray (SüperLig), San Diego FC (MLS), and Neom SC (Saudi Pro League).
