Liverpool Goes Back in Time and Signs a Million-Dollar Sponsorship
Liverpool and Adidas have reached an agreement starting next season for a sponsorship deal worth 350 million euros
Adidas continues to recruit classic clubs to sponsor their jerseys. They already have giants like Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Juventus in their portfolio. But now they’ve announced that Liverpool will join their list of clients starting next season after signing a lucrative deal to leave Nike.

How much will Adidas pay Liverpool?
According to various British media outlets, this new deal with Adidas will bring Liverpool annual revenues estimated to exceed 70 million euros over the next five seasons. That means Liverpool could earn 350 million euros from the sponsorship of their jerseys—double what Nike was paying.
This agreement comes at a crucial time for Liverpool, after the total costs of last season surpassed 600 million euros, and losses amounted to 69 million euros due to the club’s inability to compete in the most recent Champions League edition. Now they’ll be able to recover this amount with the new sponsorship deal signed with Adidas.
The Third Stage of Liverpool with Adidas
“Everyone at the club is very excited to welcome Adidas back. We’re looking forward to creating more incredible kits to help improve on-field performance,” said Billy Hogan, CEO of Liverpool, who previously wore Adidas jerseys between 1985 and 1996 and later between 2006 and 2012.
More than a decade later, Liverpool and Adidas will work together again for a period that will last, at least, until 2030. A deal both entities hope will lead to a substantial increase in revenue. “It’s one of the most important and iconic names in world football and has an enormous fanbase,” said Bjørn Gulden, CEO of Adidas.
