Manchester City Will Be Pep Guardiola's Last Club
In the Desmontadito podcast, the Spanish coach revealed that Manchester City will be his last club, and that after his time at the Etihad Stadium, he will likely attempt to manage a national team.
The 53-year-old coach, who renewed his contract with the Cityzens until 2027, mentioned that he will not accept another club after leaving Manchester City. "I won't coach another team. I’m not talking about the long-term future, but what I won’t do is leave Manchester City to go to another country and do the same thing I’m doing now," said Guardiola, who has over 17 years of experience as a coach, including his time at FC Barcelona.
A future with a national team?
Guardiola explained that he feels exhausted by the long process of managing a club, and expressed that he would prefer to take a different path in his career: "Maybe with a national team," said the coach, who has three Champions League titles to his name. Despite his future being uncertain, he didn’t rule out continuing as long as his energy allows him.
At 53, Pep Guardiola could receive several offers from national teams. His name has been linked to positions with teams like England and Brazil, both seeking new managers.
