Michail Antonio, the Jamaican-born British striker for West Ham United, underwent surgery following a fracture in a lower limb sustained in a car accident on Saturday in the Epping area of Essex, England.

West Ham United confirmed in a statement that the 34-year-old forward was rushed to a central London hospital, where he underwent surgery. The club stated that Antonio is in stable condition and under observation:
"Michail will remain monitored in the hospital over the coming days," the statement read.
