Frank relishing test of facing 'best in Premier League' Chelsea
Chelsea are in the mix at the top, and Thomas Frank believes they are the in-form team in the Premier League, ahead of Liverpool.
Thomas Frank believes Chelsea may be "the best team in the Premier League right now" as he prepares to take Brentford to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Blues are currently on a six-match winning streak in all competitions and are unbeaten in seven Premier League games since their 2-1 loss to Liverpool in mid-October.
In fact, Chelsea have won each of their last four Premier League games, and the last three while scoring three or more goals in each.
Enzo Maresca's side sit second in the table ahead of the weekend, just four points behind leaders Liverpool, albeit having played a game more.
Chelsea are also the top scorers in the Premier League, netting 35 goals, four more than joint-second-best Brentford.
"They are maybe even more in-form than Liverpool, even though they are top of the league," said Frank.
"They are playing incredible football and are well-coached. Maresca has done a top job so far with his coaching staff, and they look extremely dangerous."
Brentford have the best home form in the Premier League this season, dropping just two points at the Gtech Community Stadium, but they have struggled on their travels.
On the road in the top-flight, they have picked up just one point from a possible 21 in a 0-0 draw with Everton.
The Bees have, however, won all three of their Premier League away games against Chelsea. The last team to win four consecutive top-flight away games against the Blues were Leeds United (six between 1973 and 1991).
"[Chelsea] have so many threats going forward and have top-quality players all over the pitch. I expect an unbelievably difficult game," he added.
"They are massive favourites but, of course, we believe that we can compete against anyone, and we believe we can win."
