Kamara extends Aston Villa contract until 2030
In a relatively quiet transfer window for Aston Villa, they have made an important move by extending Boubacar Kamara’s contract.
Boubacar Kamara has signed a contract extension at Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old’s new deal will keep him at Villa Park until 2030, with his previous contract having been set to expire in 2027.
The France midfielder joined the Premier League side in 2022 as a free agent from hometown club Marseille, where he played for five seasons.
Kamara, who has also played at centre-back for Villa, has made 70 appearances in the Premier League.
He has won 52.2% of his duels and 49.7% of his tackles, while also contributing one goal and two assists.
He also played 10 games in the Champions League last season as Villa reached the quarter-finals, before being knocked out by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
Unai Emery’s side are preparing to face Eintracht Frankfurt, St. Louis City and Nashville SC on their pre-season tour of the United States, with their Premier League campaign starting on August 16 against Newcastle United.
