Nuno urges Forest to 'stay humble' amid Premier League winning run
Nottingham Forest are level on points with second-placed Arsenal in the Premier League after their 3-0 win at Wolves on Monday.
Nuno Espirito Santo called on Nottingham Forest to "stay humble" as he warned they have not yet achieved anything after Monday's win over Wolves.
High-flying Forest moved level on points with second-placed Arsenal, and just six behind leaders Liverpool, after a 3-0 victory at Molineux.
Morgan Gibbs-White opened the scoring against his former side before Chris Wood doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time and Taiwo Awoniyi wrapped up the win late on.
It marked a sixth straight victory for Forest in the league and kept them in firm control of their top-four hopes, though Nuno is not getting carried away with his side's form.
"It's a very tough competition. We are always going to face tough opponents. We need to stay humble," the Forest boss told Sky Sports.
"We haven't achieved anything yet, we need to work until the end and this can lead us to good moments."
Not since a seven-game run between May and September 1979 had Forest racked up six straight top-flight wins, though Nuno sent another record spiralling against Wolves.
The victory marked a fitting tribute to Brian Clough, who oversaw that seven-game winning run in 1979, on the 50th anniversary of Forest appointing their legendary manager.
The late Clough may well have been proud of this new era under Nuno, who insists his ambitions will not change despite Forest's success this term.
"My ambition is always the same. As coaching staff we have this natural ambition of improving the players, this is what we are obsessed with," he added.
"If we improve the players than the team will improve and if the team improves than the club will improve and the city will be happy."
The defeat marked Vitor Pereira's first loss from his four opening games in charge at Wolves, who passed up a host of chances through misfiring forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Pereira's side still remain 17th in the table, just clear of the relegation zone on goal difference, but Matt Doherty has been impressed with the new Wolves boss instilling added discipline at Molineux.
"He has brought his own way of playing, his own discipline and his own style," Doherty said on Sky Sports. "He has got ways to play that were different than before but all managers are different.
"We have a lot of Portuguese-speaking players in the squad and he is probably able to get his message across.
"I think he has brought a bit more discipline around the place and on the training ground. We just have to pick ourselves up for the FA Cup [against Bristol City on Saturday]."
