Rashford completes Villa loan switch from Man Utd
Marcus Rashford has completed a loan move to Aston Villa, having fallen out of favour at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim.
Marcus Rashford has joined Aston Villa from Manchester United on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
The forward, who has made over 400 appearances for United after coming up through the academy, recently expressed his desire for "a new challenge", having fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
Rashford scored in the 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town - Amorim's first match in charge - netting his fourth goal in the Premier League this season but has not featured since he was dropped for the Manchester derby on December 15.
The Portuguese said on Wednesday that the 27-year-old had not met the standards he demanded of his squad.
Rashford is Villa's third signing of the January window, following the arrivals of Donyell Malen and Andres Garcia from Borussia Dortmund and Levante respectively.
He will boost Unai Emery's attacking options after Jhon Duran's move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, and provide competition for the likes of Malen and Ollie Watkins, who went off injured against Wolves on Saturday.
