Fàbregas Secures Nico Paz's Future Except for Real Madrid
Spanish coach Cesc Fàbregas, now at the helm of Como 1907, has made it clear that Argentine talent Nico Paz, a former Real Madrid player and one of the standout stars of the 'Lariani' squad, will not be sold under any circumstances—unless the Spanish giants exercise their buyback option.
“Nico is a Como player. Real Madrid can buy him back, but only at a set price. He’s young, and we have a very strong relationship with his family,” Fàbregas stated during a press conference.
Nico Paz: A cornerstone for Como’s future
The coach underscored the pivotal role of the player in the Italian club’s project:
“They’re very happy with us and grateful for everything, and for us, it’s an immense pleasure to have Nico here. He’s our brand, and we want him to stay with us in Como for many years. From the president to the last team member, everyone is working calmly and quietly to secure his presence.”
Fàbregas also stressed the club’s long-term vision:
“Even if Real Madrid doesn’t want to buy him back, Como won’t sell him—not for €40 or €50 million. We’re building a future and an identity with this group of young talents, ensuring that in three or four years, Como will be a highly competitive team.”
With this strategy, Como 1907 aims to solidify itself as a robust project, with Nico Paz as a key figure in their long-term vision.
