AC Milan 3-1 Roma: Joao Felix marks debut in style as Abraham punishes parent club
Tammy Abraham helped down his parent club as he scored twice to propel AC Milan to a 3-1 victory over Roma in the Coppa Italia.
AC Milan sealed their progress to the last four of the Coppa Italia with a 3-1 defeat of Roma at San Siro.
Tammy Abraham starred for the Rossoneri against his parent club, with the former Chelsea striker on loan at Milan from Roma.
He scored twice in the first half, before Joao Felix marked his Milan debut with a sensational finish to cap off the victory.
Abraham put Milan ahead in the 16th minute, heading home from Theo Hernandez's excellent cross.
The 27-year-old was on target again just before half-time, as he finished at the end of a sweeping team move, with Hernandez once again supplying the assist.
Roma substitute Artem Dovbyk pulled one back nine minutes into the second half, but Joao Felix came off the bench to restore Milan's two-goal lead with a deft chip.
Tijjani Reijnders turned into his own net soon after, though the goal was disallowed after a VAR check deemed there to have been an offside in the build-up, as Milan held off to set up a semi-final against either Inter or Lazio.
Data Debrief: Giants of Italy
Milan have now reached the Coppa Italia semi-finals on 25 occasions. Only Inter (29) and Juventus (36) have reached the last four of the competition on more occasions.
Abraham, meanwhile, became the third player to score for both Roma and Milan in the Coppa Italia across the last 20 seasons (since 2005-06), after Marco Borriello and Stephan El Shaarawy.
