Lazio 2-2 Napoli: Dia subjects visitors to third straight stalemate
Napoli missed the chance to go four points clear of Inter at the top of the Serie A table, as a late equaliser denied them all three points.
A last-gasp Boulaye Dia goal earned Lazio a 2-2 draw against Napoli, who risk being knocked off top spot having failed to hold out for a win.
Napoli, now on 56 points, are two points above Inter, who could leapfrog them if they beat Juventus on Sunday. Lazio remain fourth, though also risk dropping down should Juve triumph at the Allianz Stadium.
Gustav Isaksen put Lazio in front after six minutes, scoring the earliest Serie A goal against Napoli this season, with an excellent shot from distance.
However, Napoli were back on level terms just seven minutes later as Giacomo Raspadori nutmegged Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel after playing a one-two with Romelu Lukaku.
The visitors took the lead in the 64th minute, benefitting from an own goal from Adam Marusic, who was unfortunate to turn Raspadori's deflected strike past Provedel.
Lazio fought until the end though and ensured they would take more points from Conte's side as Dia netted his first goal as a substitute since November 2022, sending a low shot into the far corner.
Data Debrief: All square
Napoli are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in Serie A, since a 1-0 loss to Lazio, but for the third time this season, they failed to beat Marco Baroni's side.
Conte's side have now gone five games without a win over Lazio in the league (D2 L3), having won each of the four beforehand.
It is the first time since December 2014, when Rafael Benitez was in the dugout, that Napoli have drawn three straight Serie A matches, which comes on the back of a seven-match winning streak.
Lazio have also endured a lot of statements of late though. They have now drawn three of their last five matches at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A (W1 L1), as many as they had in the previous 21 such games in the competition (W14 L4).
