(Video): Rizespor vs. Fenerbahçe | Süper Lig
Fenerbahçe secured an impressive 3-0 victory over Rizespor in the Süper Lig. Marco Asensio celebrated his return to the starting lineup with a goal, while İrfan Can Kahveci and Oğuz Aydın sealed the victory in the closing minutes.
Marco Asensio's return could hardly have started any better. After spending several weeks on the sidelines due to injury, the Spaniard returned to Fenerbahçe's starting lineup and needed just 11 minutes to make an impact against Çaykur Rizespor.
The former Real Madrid player fired a shot that took a deflection off a defender, but it was enough to beat the goalkeeper and give the visitors an early lead.
With the advantage, Fenerbahçe took control of the match and exploited the spaces left behind by a Rizespor side determined to find an equalizer.
Although the hosts attempted to respond with long-range efforts and crosses into the penalty area, the Yellow Canaries' defense stood firm to preserve the lead until halftime.
