Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe beats Eyüpspor in the Süper Lig, but Galatasaray takes the title
In Matchday 36 of the Trendyol Süper Lig, José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe hosted Eyüpspor and came out on top with a 2–1 win. The yellow and navy side got goals from Youssef En-Nesyri in the 32nd minute and Edin Džeko in the 84th. The visitors pulled one back deep into stoppage time, thanks to Umut Meraş in the 90+4.
With this win, Fenerbahçe now has 81 points and remains in second place. On the other hand, Eyüpspor, led by Arda Turan, is still in the race for European spots, sitting sixth with 50 points.
What’s next
Next round, Fenerbahçe will be on the road to face Atakaş Hatayspor, while Eyüpspor will host Onvo Antalyaspor—both in Matchday 37 of the Turkish league.
Galatasaray gets the crown
Even though Fenerbahçe grabbed the win, the real headline of the weekend was Galatasaray, who were officially crowned Süper Lig champions with two games to spare. At Rams Park, the yellow and red side cruised past Bellona Kayserispor with a 3–0 victory to lock in their 25th league title.

That win took Galatasaray to 89 points, secured them a third straight league title, and earned the club the right to wear a fifth star on their badge—an honor reserved for teams with 25 championships.
