(VIDEO) Mbappé Spotted Walking Freely After Injury in Real Madrid-Atalanta Match
The French footballer raised concerns after being substituted in the Champions League.
Kylian Mbappé was forced to leave the pitch due to an injury during the match, raising concerns among Real Madrid fans. However, a recently surfaced video has provided some reassurance.
Mbappé Spotted After the Match
After being substituted in the first half against Atalanta, just over 30 minutes into the game, Mbappé was seen walking without any apparent issues as he left Gewiss Stadium. Accompanied by Vinícius Jr., the French forward appeared comfortable and showed no signs of discomfort.
Ancelotti’s Comments on Mbappé’s Injury
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti downplayed the injury that led to Mbappé’s substitution in the 35th minute in Bergamo. He described it as a “hamstring overload.”
After initial tests, which will be followed up in Madrid on Wednesday with an MRI, Ancelotti shared an optimistic update on Mbappé’s condition.
“It’s an overload, some discomfort in the hamstring. It doesn’t seem serious. He had to stop after starting very well. We’ll see tomorrow with further tests,” he told Movistar+.
The Italian coach further explained the decision to substitute Mbappé: “He couldn’t sprint; he felt some discomfort, so we preferred to take him off.”
