Under Diego Simeone’s management, the Argentine forward has reached his peak form, and he made that clear once again in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, scoring a stunning goal against Real Madrid.

A shot impossible for Courtois

The goal came in the 32nd minute of the match, at a time when Atlético de Madrid was struggling to find attacking clarity. However, the World Cup winner appeared down the left wing, leaving Eduardo Camavinga behind before unleashing a curling shot from the edge of the box that nestled into Thibaut Courtois’ top right corner, clearing out the cobwebs in the process.

Dominance at the Santiago Bernabéu

This was Julián Álvarez’s fourth career match at the Santiago Bernabéu and his second Madrid derby, where he has now scored twice and remains unbeaten at Real Madrid’s home.
