All Goals PSG vs Aston Villa – Champions League Quarterfinals
Paris Saint-Germain took a big step towards the Champions League semifinals with a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa at the Parc des Princes. Luis Enrique’s team dominated the match but had to overcome an outstanding performance by Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martínez, who was only beaten by three unstoppable shots from Desiré Doué, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Nuno Mendes. Despite the English side’s efforts to stay in the tie, a late goal put Unai Emery’s men in a very difficult position for the second leg.
Aston Villa struck first, taking the lead on their first clear chance. John McGinn won the ball in midfield and played it to Marcus Rashford, who assisted Morgan Rogers for a precise finish in the 35th minute. However, PSG responded immediately, and just five minutes later, Desiré Doué leveled the score with a brilliant curling shot from the left, leaving the Argentine goalkeeper helpless.
Early in the second half, PSG took the lead. This time, it was Kvaratskhelia who produced a moment of magic, finding the top corner at Dibu Martínez’s near post to make it 2-1. Aston Villa tried to react by bringing on Marco Asensio, but PSG remained in control. Kvaratskhelia even found the net again, but his goal was disallowed for a marginal offside.

Just when the match seemed to be ending, Nuno Mendes sealed the victory in stoppage time. The Portuguese full-back capitalized on a counterattack, dribbling past defenders before finishing with precision to secure a crucial advantage for the second leg at Villa Park. With this result, PSG is on the verge of reaching their second consecutive semifinal, while Aston Villa will need a historic comeback at home.
