Lamine Yamal, Happy with Barcelona's Second-Place Finish in the Champions League
After the 2-2 draw against Atalanta, Lamine Yamal emphasized the importance of not losing and expressed satisfaction with the second-place finish in the Champions League group stage.
"The Important Thing Was Not Losing"
"We wanted to win, like every game, but it wasn’t meant to be. It’s no problem," said the young forward in an interview with Movistar.
Regarding his conversation with Hansi Flick, who substituted him in the final minutes, Yamal shared that the coach told him to stay calm and congratulated him on his performance.
"He told me I had played a good game. Now, we focus on La Liga. We wanted the win," added the attacker, who scored the opening goal and was one of the standout players of the match.
Confidence in Barcelona
Barça knew that with a win, they could finish first in the group, especially after Liverpool's loss to Eindhoven (3-2). "Barcelona is always the favorite, for me it’s the best club in Europe. I’m happy with second place. We have to keep going," concluded Yamal.
