Odegaard on Real Madrid Spell: "The Plan Wasn't to Go on Loan"
The 25-year-old Norwegian footballer reminisced about his time with Real Madrid and mentioned certain things regarding his departure from the white team.
Martin Odegaard is one of the most important footballers for Arsenal currently, as Mikel Arteta's team has found the right position and style of play for him to help the team be among the best in the Premier League, where they are currently in first place.
Now, the Norwegian clarified certain things and spoke about his departure from Real Madrid, where he was loaned to four different teams (Heerenveen, Vitesse, Real Sociedad, and Arsenal) and ended up signing with the
"Gunners" in 2021.
On one hand, the Norwegian stated that he knew about his quality and the importance of the matches he would play; however, he also knew that everything could happen and change because, for him, football can be unfair.
"I always believed that I would play important matches and the Champions League. Although football doesn't always go as expected. When I was at Real Madrid, the plan wasn't to go out on loan, but that's football and that's life," affirmed the Norwegian.
