When and Where is Arsenal FC vs PSG in the First Leg of the UEFA Champions League Semifinal?
The Emirates Stadium is set to host a historic semifinal this Tuesday, April 29, when Arsenal FC and Paris Saint-Germain clash in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET, with Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic in charge. Two clubs that have never lifted the European Cup will battle it out in London, looking to take a big step toward glory.
Arteta calls for a historic atmosphere
Mikel Arteta, the Gunners’ boss, has urged the fans to create an even bigger atmosphere than they did against Real Madrid: "If we want something special, we have to witness something we've never seen before," he said. Arsenal comes into the match with some key midfield absences, like Thomas Partey and Jorginho, which will likely push Mikel Merino into a deeper role and see Leandro Trossard starting as a false nine.
A renewed and confident PSG
On the other side, PSG looks like a completely different team under Luis Enrique, who warned that his side is "much better than in October," when they lost to Arsenal during the group stage. "The mood in the camp is exceptional. I’m the saddest guy on the team, imagine how my players feel," joked the Spanish coach, showing just how confident they are heading into London.
Both clubs are chasing their first-ever Champions League title and have already knocked out heavyweights like Liverpool and Real Madrid to get here. Arsenal had the weekend off to rest and fully focus on this match, while PSG comes into it at full strength, boasting a dangerous attacking trio with Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Everything’s set: Tuesday, April 29, at 3:00 p.m. ET in London. It’s the first battle in a fight for a dream that neither club has been able to achieve... yet.
