Carrick reveals Baleba injury 'doesn't look great'
Carlos Baleba missed the start of the season with an ankle injury, and is now set to miss more games for Manchester United through injury.
Baleba suffered a hamstring injury during United's stunning comeback victory over Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Despite finding themselves 2-0 down at Old Trafford, a Bruno Fernandes penalty and Matheus Cunha brace saw the Red Devils secure a much-needed win.
Baleba won seven of his eight duels, including both aerial duels, and completed 100% of his dribbles (2/2) before being replaced in the 51st minute by Youri Tielemans.
The 22-year-old has only featured seven times for United this season after missing the start of the campaign with an ankle injury.
Since his first start for United (October 13 v Atletico Madrid), Baleba has won the joint-most duels of any Red Devils midfielder (27), holds the second-best duel success rate (64.3%) and has won the joint-third-most tackles (five).
"I haven't got any more news on Carlos at this stage," said Carrick.
"It's his hamstring, so we'll just have to assess what that looks like. Initially, it doesn't look great. Timelines, I haven't got much more to give you."
United host Aston Villa in their final match before the international break, though face a huge trip to Anfield in their first game back.
Carrick could receive a boost ahead of their clash with Villa, with Patrick Dorgu returning to training after a hamstring injury.
United are 17th in the Premier League after nine games, level on points with Crystal Palace one place below them in the relegation zone.
