The possible lineup of Atletico de Madrid against Barcelona in the Champions League and the uncertainty about Juan Musso
El Cholo Simeone prepares his tactical approach to the opportunity to advance in the top European club competition and faces doubts with the goalkeeper
Quarter-finals and a possible advance to the semifinals
Atlético de Madrid is preparing for its match against FC Barcelona at the Metropolitano Stadium tonight, in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. Diego Pablo Simeone appears to be finalizing the lineup that will aim to secure a place in the semifinals, although he left one key question unanswered: who will guard the goal? Jan Oblak or Juan Musso? The Slovenian's problems and his lack of playing time in recent matches, coupled with the Argentine's performance, have sparked a legitimate and interesting debate about who will be in goal for this crucial match of the Rojiblanca season
The in-goal dilemma
Over the past six matches, between La Liga and the Champions League, Musso has stood in for Oblak with notable performances, especially during the previous match against Barcelona, where he played a crucial role in keeping the score intact with a clean sheet. Furthermore, he is the starting goalkeeper for the Copa del Rey, where he will play in the final against Real Sociedad in Seville next Saturday. In the build-up, Simeone did not reveal who would be the starter, nor did he provide many clues in training, although the little that was seen suggests that the Argentine might have a slight advantage over the Slovenian.

The likely starting eleven
Beyond that position, the rest of the starting lineup appears to be set, or at least highly likely, in defense: Nahuel Molina, Le Normand, Lenglet, and Ruggeri will be present; Giuliano, Llorente, Koke, and Lookman in midfield; Griezmann and Julián Álvarez up front. To this end, El Cholo considered and implemented a significant rotation compared to the match against Sevilla in order to have these players rested.
