Rabiot on Mbappé: "We Have Resources to Replace Him"
Adrien Rabiot, midfielder for the French national team, explained that Kylian Mbappé is still uncertain for the upcoming match against the Netherlands on Friday, but emphasized that the team has resources to replace him.
"I understand that Kylian is uncertain and not yet ruled out. A decision has not been made. He is a very important player for us. He is our captain. A leader. Undoubtedly, this will have an impact, especially on our opponents. But we have an exceptional group. We have the resources to substitute for Kylian. It would be a tough blow (if he is absent against the Netherlands), but we have complete confidence in everyone," he evaluated in a press conference in Paderborn.
He also mentioned the case of goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, his teammate at Juventus Turin, who suffered a nasal fracture and quickly returned to competition.
"I'm not sure if it's comparable to Mbappé's situation. He was operated on the next day, as I recall, and two days later he was available for the next match. He returned very quickly. That's why when I heard about Kylian's nasal fracture, I didn't think it was as serious, as he could be available soon," the footballer recalled.
