Désiré Doué scores PSG's title-winning goal
The decisive goal arrived 15 minutes into the second half.
Ousmane Dembélé found Doué with a pass before the French forward sent the ball into the net to score the goal that ultimately secured the victory for Luis Enrique's side.
His performance earned him the award as the UEFA Super Cup's best player.
The victory also put PSG in select company. The Parisian club became only the third team to win back-to-back UEFA Super Cup titles.
AC Milan previously achieved the feat in 1989 and 1990, followed by Real Madrid in 2016 and 2017.
PSG now joins that list after defeating Aston Villa, with Doué playing the decisive role in securing the trophy.
