(VIDEO) Ancelotti Is Already in Brazil Just One Day After Bidding Farewell to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu
Just hours after coaching his final match with Real Madrid, Ancelotti is already set to change the course of the "Canarinha."
One day after the emotional farewell held for him at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Carlo Ancelotti has already set foot on Brazilian soil to officially begin his tenure as the new head coach of the Brazil national team.

The legendary Italian football manager was seen in a video shared by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The now-former Real Madrid coach boarded a flight from the Spanish capital and landed at Galeão International Airport in Rio de Janeiro.
Carlo Ancelotti Arrives in Brazil 🇧🇷
This Monday, a key moment begins for the new Seleção Brasileira boss: he will announce his first Brazil national team squad, meet with his coaching staff, and hold a meeting with CBF president Samir Xaud, along with other officials from Brazilian football.
When Will Ancelotti Make His Debut as Brazil Manager?
Ancelotti’s debut with Brazil will take place on June 5 in a crucial World Cup Qualifier against Ecuador in Guayaquil, part of Matchday 15 of the CONMEBOL Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026. His second match will be on June 10 against Paraguay at the Neo Química Arena in São Paulo.
Statement from CBF President Samir Xaud
Newly elected CBF president Samir Xaud vowed to rebuild trust in the organization and expressed hope that Ancelotti can lead Brazil to a sixth World Cup title.
“May Christ the Redeemer bless the arrival and the journey of our ‘míster’ Carlo Ancelotti, so that—together with our athletes, the coaching staff, and the energy of our people—he can achieve the long-dreamed-of hexacampeonato,” said Xaud during his speech.
He also emphasized the importance of reconnecting the Brazilian people with their national football team, after years of disappointing results in international tournaments.
Official Presentation and Ancelotti’s Challenges with Brazil
Carlo Ancelotti’s official presentation will take place this Monday in Rio, following the conclusion of his successful tenure with Real Madrid. He was appointed by former CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues, who was removed from office after a judicial ruling involving a document forgery scandal.
Samir Xaud, elected with support from 25 of Brazil’s 27 regional football federations, acknowledged the damaged reputation of the CBF and promised reforms.
“We will seize this moment to elevate women’s football to the place it deserves: the spotlight,” concluded Xaud.
