In an exclusive interview with beIN SPORTS, six-time NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler has expressed his admiration for Doha, Qatar and the Middle East during the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2025 taking place this week in Doha. Jimmy Butler is one of many VIP guests attending the event which is running from 17-22 February.

Speaking to the channel, Butler thanked tournament organisers for letting him have the opportunity to live his dream by playing tennis with World No.3 Carlos Alcaraz at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, adding that “it was a blessing” and referencing his admiration that he “got to do it here in Doha”. The Golden State Warriors star also stated that he has had an incredible experience during his time in Qatar, promising “Doha, Qatar, the Middle East, I will be back” after the summer.
