Kompany wants Bayern to focus only on Hoffenheim
Vincent Kompany says Hoffenheim is the "absolute priority" for Bayern Munich, which he insists will not be distracted by its upcoming Bundesliga title parade.
The Bavarian giant has reclaimed the domestic title 12 months after its 11-year hold on the trophy was ended by Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen.
Kompany has guided Bayern to the Bundesliga crown at his first attempt, having replaced Thomas Tuchel at the club just less than a year ago.
The Belgian and his team will celebrate their achievements in a traditional manner, presenting the trophy to the club's fans from the balcony of Munich's city hall on Monday (AEST).
Before that, though, Bayern must round off its campaign against 15th-place Hoffenheim, and Kompany has called for maximum concentration from his players.
"For me, the anticipation [for the title party in central Munich] is great because that was the goal; to bring the league trophy back to Munich," Kompany said.
"But now, I am only focused on the Hoffenheim game. That is the absolute priority and the preparation we are doing.
"We will enjoy what happens after that because we earned it.
"I see every title as the first, so that's why I'm looking forward to it."
