Nmecha's overhead kick headlines Dortmund victory
Felix Nmecha's stunning overhead kick secured a 3-0 victory for Borussia Dortmund against Paderborn in the Bundesliga after he'd scored an earlier brilliant strike in the match.
Fabio Silva put Dortmund ahead inside five minutes but it was not until the final 10 that Niko Kovac's side put the game to bed, with Nmecha striking twice to keep Dortmund's 100 per cent start to the season intact.
When Tjark Scheller failed to deal with Serhou Guirassy's clearance from deep, Silva stole in and rounded goalkeeper Nahuel Noll to slot in the opener.
Guirassy had two goals ruled out for offside before half-time, and he was kept at bay by Noll after the Paderborn goalkeeper had thwarted Ethan Nwaneri on the hour mark.
Nmecha replaced Joey Veerman in the 65th minute and the substitute ultimately proved decisive.
He fired home his first goal 15 minutes later, showing great composure in the box after a one-two with Maximilian Beier.
In the 89th minute, Nmecha added a spectacular bicycle-kick finish to Marcel Sabitzer's cross, ensuring Dortmund kept pace with Freiburg at the top of the Bundesliga.
