Internacional keeps qualification hopes alive
Internacional moved back into second place in Group F of the Copa Libertadores after a vital 2-0 away win over Nacional that saw it push Bahia back to third on the table.
Goals at the end of each half ensured victory for the visitors, Ricardo Mathias scoring the first on the stroke of half-time before Braian Aguirre broke away to grab the second in the seventh minute of stoppage-time as Nacional was caught up field chasing an equaliser.
Nacional remains bottom of the table with four points while Internacional is second, just a point above Bahia in third and one behind group leader Atletico Nacional, with the final round of fixtures set to be absolutely key in terms of who will qualify for the knockout phase of the competition.
