Barcelona to make Camp Nou return for Athletic clash
Barcelona announced it will make its long-awaited return to Camp Nou when it takes on Athletic Club in LaLiga on Sunday.
Barca has not played at their home stadium since May 2023 and has played the last two seasons and the start of 2025-2026 at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Company.
The stadium will not be at full capacity as renovation work continues, but 45,401 fans will be allowed in to watch.
"We've dreamed about the return. Now, it's here. We're back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou," Barcelona said in a statement on X.
Barcelona is also working with UEFA to be able to play its Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt at Camp Nou on 9 December, and it is awaiting confirmation.
Hansi Flick's side returns to LaLiga action sitting second in the table, three points behind leader Real Madrid.
