Flick keeps focus on Barcelona not Real Madrid
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick insists his side is only focused on its own performances and not the struggles of Real Madrid.
The LaLiga leader will be looking to register a seventh straight win in the league when it hosts Osasuna on Sunday (AEDT).
La Blaugrana sits four points clear of its Clasico rival Madrid after 16 matches.
Since losing 2-1 to Los Blancos at the end of October, Barca has won six consecutive matches in the league and lost just once in all competitions, compiling a recent record of seven wins and one draw.
Barca hosts Osasuna on Sunday (AEDT), and Flick is not looking past his side's upcoming opponent.
“We have to focus on ourselves. Not on Real Madrid. 100 per cent Barca,” Flick said.
“There is still a long way to go. We’re in December. For now, the important thing is to stay focused and pay attention to what we’re doing.
“All matches are difficult if you don’t play at 100 per cent. It doesn’t matter who the opponent is: we focus on preparing well for the game. It’s important to get the three points.”
Osasuna is 15th in LaLiga and has scored 14 goals and conceded 18 in 15 league matches this season.
However, it did end a six-game winless run in the competition last time out, defeating bottom side Levante 2-0 at home.
