PSG finishes on a high with comeback win
Paris Saint-Germain rounded off its Ligue 1 campaign with an impressive 3-1 comeback win over Auxerre at Parc des Princes.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia led the charge in the second half, ensuring the champion can go into its Coupe de France and UEFA Champions League finals with confidence.
Despite PSG's dominance in the early stages, Auxerre took a surprise lead on the half-hour. Gaetan Perrin's inch-perfect throughball was met by Lassine Sinayoko, who coolly slotted past Gianluigi Donnarumma into the bottom-left corner.
The hosts responded well as Nuno Mendes struck the post seven minutes later with an excellent free-kick off the left, only narrowly missing the top corner.
PSG finally pulled level in the 59th minute as Kvaratskhelia drilled a low shot into the bottom-left corner, but Donovan Leon could have done better after getting his fingertips to it.
Marquinhos gave PSG the lead eight minutes later, planting Mendes's corner into the back of the net after being left unmarked.
Mendes then drew a penalty in the 77th minute as he was brought down by Sinaly Diomande, but substitute Goncalo Ramos saw his tame effort from 12 yards well saved by Leon.
Kvaratskhelia then smacked the post with a bending free-kick before rounding off the win with two minutes of the 90 remaining, rounding the goalkeeper before slotting his effort into the empty net.
