The Cherries started strongly at Vitality Stadium, with Evanilson's glancing header deflecting off former Bournemouth defender Jefferson Lerma and looping over the line after 10 minutes, despite Dean Henderson's best efforts to parry it away. 

Some hapless Palace defending then opened the door for Bournemouth to double its lead as Junior Kroupi struck from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute. Henderson, scrambling to recover a loose ball, had brought down Marcos Senesi inside the box. 

Palace showed brief signs of improvement in the second half, with Jorgen Strand Larsen skewing wide and Ismaila Sarr asking some questions of the Cherries' defence, but it was not to be for the Eagles. 

After half-chances at both ends, Rayan sealed the result with a third goal in the 77th minute, striking sweetly past Henderson to secure three vital points and keep Bournemouth in the hunt for European qualification. 

Ismaila Sarr was then denied a late consolation goal by the woodwork in the closing stages – his first-time strike off Adam Wharton's floated cross clipped the foot of the post.
