Forest seals Europe spot but misses out on fifth
Nottingham Forest secured European football next season, but could not move back into the top five after drawing with Leicester City.
Nottingham Forest missed the chance to reclaim fifth place in the Premier League after Facundo Buonanotte's equaliser snatched a 2-2 draw for relegated Leicester City at the City Ground.
The spoils were shared in the East Midlands derby as Forest secured European football next season, but was unable to climb back into the Champions League places.
Conor Coady headed Leicester in front in the 16th minute with his first Premier League goal in over two-and-a-half years, but Morgan Gibbs-White nodded the hosts level from Anthony Elanga's free-kick nine minutes later.
Chris Wood's 20th league goal of the season looked like it would seal all three points when he powered home a header from Gibbs-White's 56th-minute cross.
However, Buonanotte's individual effort in the 81st minute rescued a point for Ruud van Nistelrooy's side, which was denied a late winner when Matz Sels saved from youngster Jeremy Monga.
Nuno Espirito Santo's men remain seventh after they were unable to leapfrog Aston Villa and Chelsea, which was beaten by Newcastle United earlier on Monday. Leicester stayed 19th, but moved level on points with Ipswich Town.
