Arsenal back in second as Ange's Spurs lose derby
Leandro Trossard produced the winner as Arsenal edged Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the north London derby to move within four points of Premier League leader Liverpool.
After Gabriel Magalhaes had forced an own goal from Dominic Solanke to cancel out Son Heung-min's 25th-minute opener for Spurs, Trossard hit the goal that put the Gunners 2-1 up in the 44th minute.
The result meant that Mikel Arteta's side did the double over Spurs, having won the reverse fixture 1-0 in September.
After a dominant start from Arsenal, Dejan Kulusevski tested David Raya in the 22nd minute before Son side-footed a volley past the Gunners goalkeeper via a deflection off Thomas Partey three minutes later.
Arsenal's pressure from set-pieces paid off as Radu Dragusin's defensive header went off team-mate Solanke in the 40th minute to level the score.
After Trossard's low drive beat Antonin Kinsky just before the break, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard had chances to increase Arsenal's lead, while Spurs went closest in the second-half stoppage-time when Pedro Porro's strike hit the woodwork.
Arsenal is now on a 11-match unbeaten run in the league and, with 43 points from 21 games, reclaimed second place from Nottingham Forest.
Spurs, meanwhile, are 13th with 24 points and have lost 18 points from winning positions this season, with only Fulham (19) having lost more.
