Forest confirms Pereira exit amid Glasner talk
Nottingham Forest confirmed the departure of Vitor Pereira, with Oliver Glasner expected to be his replacement.
Reports emerged on Thursday that Forest had elected to sack Pereira.
That is despite him having guided Forest to Premier League safety last season, having only replaced Sean Dyche in February.
Pereira subsequently confirmed that he had been relieved of his duties, expressing his surprise at the decision in a statement.
Forest has made an official announcement, confirming it activated a break clause in the former Wolves coach's contract.
It is expected to hire Oliver Glasner, who is a free agent after leaving Crystal Palace.
Pereira won eight of his 20 games in charge of Forest and led them to the Europa League semi-finals before losing to eventual champion Aston Villa.
Glasner, meanwhile, won three trophies with Palace - the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League.
Forest had a busy day, as Elliot Anderson's record-breaking transfer to Manchester City was confirmed.
It also announced it had activated an extension clause in Matz Sels's contract.
Sels is contracted until the end of the 2027-2028 season.
The Belgian has featured 96 times for Forest since his arrival in 2024.
