Wan-Bissaka seals Premier League return with Aston Villa loan
Aston Villa have added another defender to their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign, bringing in Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The right-back will play for Villa during the 2026-27 season, with the club having a conditional obligation to buy for a reported 拢18m next year.
Wan-Bissaka made 65 appearances for West Ham after joining from Manchester United and was named Hammer of the Year in his first season.
However, he could not help them avoid relegation from the top-flight last term as they finished 18th.
He made just 25 Premier League appearances last term, but only Konstantinos Mavropanos (49) made more interceptions than him (40), while he also won 23 of his 33 tackles in the competition.
Wan-Bissaka, who played in all four of DR Congo's matches at the World Cup, spent five seasons with United before joining West Ham in 2024, making 190 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
He also won the EFL Cup and FA Cup at Old Trafford and made 15 appearances in the Champions League.
Villa, who have seen a lot of big names leave following their Europa League triumph in May, have made Wan-Bissaka their sixth signing as they prepare to begin their new Premier League campaign against Brighton on Sunday.
