Dele Alli to make football comeback with Como
Former Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Dele Alli has signed an 18 month deal with Italian side Como, hoping to end a turbulent few years off the field.
The 28-year-old has been training with the club after his contract at Everton ended last summer and has now penned terms on a move that sees him return to top-flight football.
Dele has not played professionally since appearing for Besiktas on loan in February 2023, but will now have the chance to shine with the Serie A side.
Como is currently out of the bottom three in the Italian top-flight on goal difference and takes on Udinese on Tuesday (AEDT).
"The club believes in Dele's potential and is committed to helping him rediscover his best form," head coach Cesc Fabregas said.
"His experience and leadership qualities will undoubtedly benefit the squad."
