Roma surge continues with win over Genoa
Roma's unbeaten run continued in Serie A as a dominant second-half saw it beat Genoa 3-1 at Stadio Olimpico.
Artem Dovbyk scored the opener on 25 minutes with a tap-in but Genoa pulled level before the break when Patrizio Masini scored a stunner, blasting a volley home as he met a corner on 33 minutes.
Roma took control just before the hour mark when Paulo Dybala laid the ball into the path of substitue Stephan El Shaarawy, who finished well against the club where he started his career.
Roma made sure of all three points in the 73rd minute thanks to a clumsy own goal that was ultimately credited to Genoa from goalkeeper Nicola Leili, despite Dybala trying to claim it.
Roma's unbeaten run extended to five games as it moved ahead of Udinese into the top half of the table, sitting ninth on 27 points.
Genoa, which came into the match on the back of its own three-match unbeaten streak, is 11th on 23 points.
