Douvikas commits to 'ambitious' Como
Tasos Douvikas's strong start to the 2026-2027 season for Como has been rewarded with a new long-term contract.
Douvikas, who signed for Como in February 2025, has put pen to paper on a deal through to June 2031.
His contract was not due to run out until June 2029, but he has made a blistering start to this season, netting eight goals in 11 appearances across all competitions.
He has made 68 appearances for the club, scoring 27 goals and providing five assists across all competitions.
Against Sassuolo last weekend, he became the second player, and first foreign player, to score 20 or more goals for Como in Serie A.
The Greece international has also scored in at least four consecutive appearances in all competitions for the first time in his career since his debut in Europe's big five leagues, with one of the goals coming in a famous Champions League win over Manchester United.
"I'm very happy to continue my journey with Como; I've felt right at home from the very beginning and immediately sensed the club's ambition," Douvikas said.
"I've grown a lot since I arrived, thanks to Coach Fabregas and his staff; this group is like a big family to me. I want to keep helping the team by giving it my all."
After his goals against Fiorentina and Sassuolo, Douvikas has the chance to score in three consecutive Serie A matches in a single season for the first time when Como faces Torino.
