Fabregas keeping Como cool ahead of Inter clash
Cesc Fabregas has urged his Como side to stay humble ahead of its trip to Inter Milan on Sunday (AEDT).
Como is fifth in Serie A, just three points behind Inter and four behind league leader AC Milan after 13 games.
It is enjoying its best start to a Serie A season in the three-points-per-win era.
Como has collected 24 points from its first 13 games played in the current campaign, winning six, drawing six and losing only once.
Fabregas believes his side, despite its youthfulness, will not fear the threat Inter poses but has encouraged his players to stay grounded.
“The guys don't get nervous in these kinds of games,” Fabregas said.
“They're a great group – 20, 21, and 22-year-olds who get together and work as a team. I enjoy it.
“They have to show me what we can do with the team. They're working hard. We have to play a near-perfect game.
“We do a lot of analysis, including behavioural ones, we talk to their families and people who've worked with them.
“There's a lot of information, and we try not to bring a big head here... If you make a mistake, and it happens, we try to fix it quickly. You always need to find energy, always train at your best. That mental effort to keep going.
“I don't think the kids are better than they are, but they're young enough to possibly take them to the top.”
