Thuram, Martinez put Inter in control
Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez lifted Inter to a 2-0 away victory over Feyenoord in the first leg of their last-16 tie in the Champions League.
Feyenoord shocked Inter's city rivals AC Milan in order to reach the round of 16, but the Dutch club were unable to repeat the trick.
Thuram put Inter ahead in the 38th minute at De Kuip, dispatching with a close-range finish from Nicolo Barella's excellent cross.
The France international's strike partner Martinez then lashed home Inter's second five minutes after the restart.
Inter saw a golden chance to go 3-0 up go begging when Timon Wellenreuther saved Piotr Zielinski's penalty, with Jeyland Mitchell having been adjudged to have fouled Thuram.
That save ensured Feyenoord can head into next week's return leg at San Siro with a glimmer of hope, but it is firmly advantage Inter.
