Kane happy at Bayern despite Barcelona interest
Harry Kane is in no rush to leave Bayern Munich but has refused to rule out a move away from the Bundesliga champion, with Barcelona reportedly showing interest in him.
Kane has put in spectacular performances since swapping Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern in 2023, scoring 109 goals in 114 games for the Bavarian side and helping it reclaim the Bundesliga crown last season.
The England captain is already 17th in Bayern's all-time scoring charts and is only 30 goals away from the top 10.
He has netted 24 times in 18 outings this season. The next highest-scoring player from Europe's top five leagues is Manchester City's Erling Haaland, with 19 goals to his name.
But Kane's long-term future in Germany has been called into question recently, amid reports he has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for €65 million ($116.2 million) next year, should he inform Bayern by the end of January.
Kane is under contract at Bayern until 2027 but Barcelona has been touted as a possible next step for the striker, should the Blaugrana move on from 37-year-old Robert Lewandowski.
While Kane refused to give any assurances regarding his long-term future in an interview with BILD, he said it was unlikely that anything would change before the end of the season.
"I haven't had any contact with anyone, nobody has contacted me," Kane said.
"I feel very comfortable in the current situation, even though we haven't yet discussed my situation with Bayern.
"There's no rush. I'm really happy in Munich. You can see that in the way I'm playing. If there's contact, then we'll see.
"But I'm not thinking about next season yet. First up is the World Cup in the summer. And it's very unlikely that anything will change after this season."
Bayern visits Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League this week, in a showdown between two of the three teams to boast a perfect record after four matchdays alongside Inter Milan.
The former Spurs hero has scored 15 goals in 21 career appearances against Arsenal, including six goals in 10 games against the Gunners at Emirates Stadium – more than any other visiting player at the venue.
