Cucurella gets De la Fuente tattoo
Marc Cucurella has kept his promise to get a tattoo of Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente's face after La Roja's World Cup win.
Spain was crowned world champion for a second time earlier this month, after Ferran Torres's extra-time goal earned it a 1-0 success against Argentina in the final.
Prior to Spain's triumph, new Real Madrid full-back Cucurella pledged to get his head coach's face immortalised in ink if they lifted the trophy.
He has not backed down.
Cucurella posted an image of his new tattoo, which shows De la Fuente holding the World Cup in front of the logo for the 2026 tournament, alongside the caption: "Promise kept."
Cucurella also said he would retire from international football if Spain won the tournament, but Spain will hope he changes his mind on that part of the promise.
Cucurella was an ever-present for them at this year's tournament, starting all eight of its matches and helping it keep seven clean sheets, while only Dani Olmo matched his two assists for the eventual champion.
